01

Discovery

This phase is where we scope out exactly what you need and want from your project.

It starts with an in-depth design questionnaire, completed prior to a 90 minute working design consultation, at home or virtually.

We will tour your house, uncover your interior design style and confirm all aspects of your brief. I'll take basic sketches and we can discuss initial design ideas.

02

Concept Design

The next phase is the concept design, and this begins with a kick-off meeting back at your home. Full measurements are taken in a site survey, and all aspects of your design brief are finalised.

After signing off on the brief you can sit back while I work on your concept design and space planning.

Your presentation will include a mood board, colour schemes and 2D floor plan. Once you're happy with the design direction and layout we can progress to the next phase.

03

Design Development

This is where I fine tune your design, with any revisions and show you where to place all your key furniture, including a 3D room visualisation to see how everything will look in place.

All your fixtures, fittings and finishes are sourced and specified in a personalised schedule. This includes detailed information and lead times, so you can shop your look in your own time.

I have contacts with local makers and suppliers, and bespoke items can be made to your unique specification.

04

Project Delivery

Finally, it's over to you to bring your design to life. All at your own pace.

I stay on hand for 2 weeks should any questions arise, so you can implement your design and style it like a professional.

Don't want to do it yourself? we can keep working together on product purchasing and design management of your renovation.

Frequently asked questions

Which service is right for me?

Start by thinking about how much or little work needs to be done to your space to achieve what you want. How involved do you want to be in the process? Do you need ideas, plans drawn or someone to manage the whole project from start to finish?

If you need more help just drop me a line, or if you want to talk it through I offer a 20 minute obligation free call where we can discuss your options.

How much will it all cost?

I believe in being as transparent as possible on costs. The Design Consultancy service is charged as a single flat fee, paid before your consultation.

The Residential Interior Design + Custom Drawing Package include bespoke fee proposals delivered at the start of each project, based on the scope and timescale of your project. These are paid as a 50% deposit with the balance on completion and sign-off.

Full service design is charged in stand-alone stages, outlined in a fee proposal before we start. Phase 4 construction, site-visits and meetings are all charged on an hourly rate, with product procurement as a percentage of your FF+E budget.

What do I need to provide you?

You need to have an idea of what you want to achieve in your space, as well as your project budget. This is really important to help me know what products and design solutions to suggest. It also helps to understand your interior style, but we can also work through that together.

What is a design revision?

A design revision refers to sourcing a new item of furniture, an update to a mood board or colour scheme or amending an aspect of a floor plan. It does not include changes to the original brief or creating a new design concept. Up to 2 design revisions are included in each service. If you need additional revisions, they can be added and charged by the hour.

What if I don’t know what my interior style is?

Don’t worry! You’re not alone, this is a very common concern and easily worked through. Start by pinning images to a Pinterest board, or if you’re more tactile, try collecting magazine clippings. At first just collate images without overthinking it. Then go back and edit it down. I can help you do this during our consultation.

What is e-design?

E-design gives you the same design expertise as traditional interior design, just from the comfort of your own home. We don’t even have to live in the same city. Everything you would have received in face-to-face meetings, and only when both our schedules allowed, can now be presented virtually over Google Meet and delivered via email.

What if I don’t like the design?

This very rarely happens as we carefully work through each stage of the design process before moving on. I work collaboratively with my clients, I’ll never foist my “designer style” on you. In return it’s equally important that you are completely honest in your feedback. That way you get a finished design that is totally you.

Let's talk.
